ABOUT CHOPS

Chops is more than just a character on a page, she represents children who share a uniqueness in their outward appearance. Born out of a desire to provide his daughter with a character she could identify with in storybooks, Chops was created by author / illustrator Matthew Jenkins to tell stories of every day activity featuring a character with a missing hand. The books and their stories don't make reference to this difference yet simply provide a character for children of similar appearance to identify with.

WHO WE ARE

100% Perfect

Chops is a little girl with a huge spirit and no left hand. She surprised her parents when she was born perfectly unique in 2007 and upon numerous unsuccessful searches for children's books with characters featuring a difference, her dad set upon creating something just for her. Chops has caught on a bit since its first book in 2014 with sales of the books to all corners of the world but its still just about a dad and his kids at the end of the day. Something for them to have fun creating together whilst at the same time providing books with characters that kids can identify with and be proud of.
